For our children. For quality education.

For Warwick School Board.

Our Platform

Support Warwick Schools is more than just a snappy slogan.

So, what do we mean? We’re so glad you asked!

Support Our Students

We’ll work to ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students at Warwick, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, immigration status, first language, or economic status.

  • Prioritize academic achievement and give students a strong foundation in reading, writing, math, and science—the building blocks of a quality education.

  • Go above and beyond to meet the needs of every learner and offer proactive support rather than waiting for students to fall behind.

  • Prepare students for the future with a forward-focused curriculum including life skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career coaching.

  • Take a preventative approach to school safety and mental health by ensuring every child feels valued, respected, and welcome in Warwick schools.

  • Ensure that our teachers and staff have all the training they need to recognize and respond to threats of violence, bullying, drug use, or when kids are at risk for self-harm.

Support Parents and Families

We’ll work to create a family-school partnership and a culture of absolute transparency, mutual trust, and open communication between the district and Warwick parents and families.

  • Approach every challenge from the belief that we’re all on the same team and fighting for the same things: quality education, safety, and support for all Warwick kids.

  • Empower parents and families to take an active role in their child’s education by providing clear, easy-to-navigate options to guide their child’s learning.

  • Improve and clearly communicate the options available to parents and families for reviewing school materials and opting out of materials that aren’t right for their specific child.

  • In an increasingly smartphone-based world, ensure that the district is communicating and providing information in a way that is easily accessible to busy parents and families.

Support Our Teachers and Staff

We’ll work to create an environment of mutual respect, prioritize retaining highly qualified educators, offer opportunities for professional growth, and leverage the experience of our teachers and staff in developing district policies.

  • Honor Warwick’s commitment to our teachers by ensuring that their benefits are competitive and that their time and time away from work are respected.

  • Elevate the voices of teachers, staff, and parents on board committees and give them equal weight as those of board members and administrators.

  • Find creative ways to incentivize long-term employment and ask teachers and staff how we can provide a work environment that makes them want to stay at Warwick.

  • Provide opportunities for meaningful professional development and regularly check in with our teachers to seek input on the kinds of training they want and need to grow as educators.

  • Study successful hiring and retention strategies used in other districts to improve our own practices and ensure that our faculty and staff reflect our local community.

Support Our Community

We’ll serve the district as an effective governance team by being fiscally responsible, transparent, communicative, and good stewards of both our district’s resources and our community’s hard-earned tax dollars.

  • Make smart spending decisions based on research, experts, data, public feedback, and guided by the greater good of our local Warwick community.

  • Use out-of-the-box thinking to make the most of each dollar and be open to creative solutions that save money and help us stay within the district’s budget.

  • Prioritize investment that not only maintains and grows district facilities but also grows local property values, so our students and community all benefit.

  • Find new ways to seek input from Warwick residents outside of board meetings, such as community surveys and in-person or virtual town hall meetings.

Support our campaign and help us reach every voter in Warwick.

Public schools are a public good. Our campaign is funded by family, friends, and neighbors who want to keep our community strong and keep politics out of our school board.

Your contribution helps us purchase campaign literature, postage, and yard signs so we can reach as many Warwick voters as possible.
